File contains two letters, written in pencil, to "Mother and Dad" by "Freddie" (surname unknown) on July 9, 1942 (7 pages) and July 13, 1942 (5 pages). Freddie was aboard the mission ship "John Antle", based in Whaletown with Canon Alan Greene, and writes of his experiences as part of the mission patrol. Places visited include Redonda Bay, Alert Bay, Rock Bay, Surge Narrows and Cortes Island settlements.
Donated by Bill Bartlett, of the Gerald Wellburn Philatelic Foundation, Victoria BC, in 2021. The letters were part of a stamp collection given to the Foundation. Bartlett recognized the connection to Cortes Island and mailed the letters to the Museum.

This folder contains an original draft of the Constitution and Bylaws adopted in 1952, which set out the objects of the Club and the conditions of its operation, including area of operation, membership requirements, duties of officers and conduct of meetings.
In 1950 all records of the Whaletown Community Club were destroyed in a fire, and the Constitution and Bylaws had to be rewritten.

File contains an agreement passing the responsibility for the Church Hall (at the corner of Harbour road next to the first Whaletown cemetery) from the Whaletown Community Club to the Whaletown Women's Institute. At that time, the Gorge Harbour Community Hall Society turned the Gorge Hall over to the Whaletown Community Club.
