The front depicts a spindly Christmas tree with a seagull on the top (Gary Bergman always fed bacon scraps to the seagulls on Friday "meat days"). The inside depicts the inside of the store with Velma at the cash register.

The post office was built in this location (on the property of 315 Whaletown Rd) in 1947. In 1981 it was moved across the road next to the parking area of the Whaletown store.
