File contains a green five year leather-bound locking diary, 5 x 6 x 1 inch in size, covering the years 1961-1962 and 1964-1966 (1963 is in another journal). The inside cover has an inscription from his sister and addresses for family members. Entries, five days per page, are brief descriptions of the weather and daily activities.

Series consists of one photograph album with nine pages of colour photographs glued onto black paper. It contains photographs and a newspaper clipping documenting the Hall expansion project in 1983, which included a new entrance and the addition of a lounge with a fireplace built by Andy Ducasse. Also in the album was a loose photograph depicting the platform of the Gorge Hall at the beginning of construction, ca. 1931. This photograph (2017.005.195) is stored in the Oversize Photographs Box.

File contains scanned copies of photographs donated by Jim Palmer for the Carrington Bay exhibit in 2009, depicting the community living in Carrington Bay in the 1970s and 1980s.
Jim Palmer and Jan Gemmel lived in a house on the west side of the log jam between Carrington Lagoon and Carrington Bay. Jim built the house at the property of John and Anna Gregg in Manson's Landing and relocated it onto pilings in Carrington Bay. Jim and Jan later fabricated steel pontoons for it. In 1985 the house was moved onto the floats and towed into Gorge Harbour by Bob Thompson with his boat "Sutil Chief".
