File consists of correspondence regarding the contentious sale of the piano in 1960 along with correspondence documenting the purchase of the piano in 1921 and subsequent correspondence regarding its ownership. The material was gathered together by Gilean Douglas in 1960. The original file also contained insurance records; they are in File 6-5.
